We understand that for many clients tackling corrosion to maintain their critical assets is a necessary evil and it can seem like a never ending mission to keep their site and assets compliant and safe.
Corroshield are here to help with initial coating surveys, consultations on requirements and preparation of scopes for one off projects or ongoing maintenance plans to ensure our clients achieve a hassle-free, professional and cost effective service.
On initial engagement, our aim is to fully understand the outcome you are looking for and then develop a scope of work that achieves the outcome safely and effectively. A comprehensive task- and site-specific HSQE pack will be prepared prior to commencing any works.
All works will be carried out by suitably trained, competent and experienced personnel with oversight from Steve Slack, Corroshield Technical Director, who is also a highly qualified L3 ICorr Coating Inspector with over 25 years in industry.
The project specification will be closely followed using the agreed methods of surface preparation (such as grit blasting, pressure washing, tool preparation etc) and coating application (brush, roller, airless spray, hand laid GRP etc.). The work areas may be accessed using a variety of systems such as mobile and fixed scaffold, powered access, cradles or supported with confined space rescue teams depending on the area and scope.
All protective coating systems will have final sign off by our L3 ICorr Coating Inspector in line with the project specification. The work area will be cleaned and final walk round carried out with the client representative to ensure all stakeholders are happy that all project objectives have been achieved prior to demobilisation.
Once the works are complete, a fully detailed quality and inspection pack will be promptly submitted electronically to the client for records which will include signed completion certificate, Inspection Test Plan, Quality report, Product Data and any Relevant Warranty Documentation.
Please reach out directly to Dominic Marshall, Corroshield Managing Director, at dominic@corroshield.co.uk who would be very happy to answer any questions you may have that are not detailed below!
Once the lagging is removed, all rust will need to be removed and then a thermal insulation coating can be applied as an alternative to traditional lagging which is known to trap water and hide significant corrosion problems until it is too late. By opting for a thermal insulation coating, you get the best of both worlds - long term corrosion protection and extreme thermal efficiency.
Yes it can be, therefore carefully selecting the right method of surface preparation is critical to prevent health or environmental hazards. We have a variety of techniques that are tailored to each project, from dustless abrasive blast cleaning to vacuum blasting, robotic blasting and UHP water jetting. To ensure the works are carried out safely and sustainably, we undertake occupational health monitoring for working with lead, provide decontamination units, training, waste testing, suitable respiratory protection, encapsulation and various other lead abatement initiatives in line with the UK CLAW Regulations 2002.
Please call our office where one of our friendly staff will be happy to arrange a consultation with one of our experienced coating professionals. We will come to your site, survey the assets and gain an understanding of your requirements, priorities and concerns you may have. We will then compile a detailed project proposal highlighting the scope of work, specification, how the works will be undertaken, timeframes and the level of service life it will provide to your asset.
