1. Consultation & Planning
Our dedicated and experienced team will work with you to establish a clear understanding of your objectives and requirement through consultation and initial surveys of the asset(s) which can be bulk liquid storage tanks and infrastructure, pipework, structural steel, silos, vessels, concrete bunds etc. Once the project goals are understood, we can then develop a bespoke project scope and specification clearly detailing what work will be achieved and how it will align with the project objectives.

To maintain strong communication throughout the project, our Corroshield Project Manager will meet with your project representative once per week (usually) to present them with an update on works completed, findings and a forward lookahead. This provides you with a clear understanding on the works as they progress, whilst providing an opportunity to discuss and overcome any potential issues or disruptions prior to them occurring.
2. Pre-inspection Cleaning & Preparation
Corroshield offers a wide range of asset cleaning and preparation techniques to achieve the required readiness standards for a successful inspection. From steel cleaning by grit blasting or ultra high pressure water jetting, to localised tool and hand preparation – we have the capability and expertise to achieve the necessary standards for inspection in the safest, most economical and sustainable way. Having a single specialist contractor manage the interface between cleaning, preparation and inspection allows for a smooth interface between each project phase minimising the risk of “knock-backs” or liability disputes – making your life as the client easier and the project run smoother.
3. Inspection & Reporting
Inspections are a critical tool in ensuring your assets are compliant and safe, whilst providing you with the relevant information to decide where to spend your budget. Through our extensive network of valued and trusted inspection partners, we can offer a wide range of inspections designed to give you the information you need in a report format you can use. Including storage tank inspections (EEMUA159, API510, GEP, NDT, OOS, Out of Cycle, Periodic, Internal etc), (ICorr Coating & Lining Inspections), CUI (Corrosion under Insulation), Pipeline Inspections (API 570), Bund Fit-For-Service Inspections, Risk Based Inspections, Passive fire protection inspections etc.
All reporting formats can be designed in a bespoke way to optimise seamless integration with your existing filing system and includes findings, corrosion rates, remaining life calculations, remedial recommendations etc.
4. Remedial Works
Once you decide what repairs you wish to undertake based on the recommendations in the inspection report, Corroshield can then perform the remedial works under one roof – ensuring a smooth project and further mitigating any liability disputes for you as the asset owner.
Corroshield specialise in surface preparation and repairs or reinstatement of performance coatings: from anti-corrosion, hydrocarbon fire protection, cellulosic fire protection, abrasion resistant linings, chemical resistant linings, tank linings, bund re-sealing and bund lining, to glass fire reinforced lining, pipeline painting, concrete painting, industrial painting, corrosion under insulation treatment etc.
Using our network of trusted and valued contracting partners, we can also provide steel repairs and concrete repairs under our supervision.
On completion of the agreed remedial works, the repairs will be re-tested by the relevantly qualified inspectors in line with the specification and report requirements.
5. After Sales & Follow Up
On completion, a Fit-For-Service Certificate is awarded to the asset as part of a comprehensive project pack which includes all necessary details for (i) what works have been completed, (ii) the reasons for and manner in which they were undertaken, (iii) the extended service life of the asset, (iv) in addition to any extra information as required on a client by client basis. Where applicable, warranty information will be provided. We perform a 1-year health check survey on the asset to ensure all works performed are fulfilling their intended purpose and are free from premature defects or teething issues.
